This year, two of our developments have been shortlisted for different categories in the prestigious First Time Buyer Readers' Awards. This recognition from First Time Buyers magazine is a testament to the quality and appeal of our developments to those entering the property market.

The First Time Buyer magazine organises the First Time Buyer Awards. They aim to spotlight industry leaders who go above and beyond in helping first-time buyers start their journey toward homeownership.

Best small/medium development - Honeybrooke

Our homes at Honeybrooke have been shortlisted for the best small/medium development category that rewards developments designed to create an affordable yet comfortable and enjoyable environment for first-time buyers.

This award is for schemes of up to 80 homes and the judges also looked at 3 different key elements. The scheme must fit well into the local environment, its design should stand out and appeal to first-time buyers and the overall development should improve the wider community.

Our Higgs Yard development has caught the eye of the FTB Awards judges for the best show home category. The award will be given to the show home allowing prospective buyers to envision the maximum potential of the home and giving them a realistic insight into life in their new home.

To make sure people visiting the show home get an accurate idea of what their home could look like, it must be designed with the needs and limitations of a first-time buyer in mind. The judges assessed whether the show home was furnished with FTB products whilst sticking to a typical FTB budget.

Why Higgs Yard was recognised

Higgs Yard sets the standard for first-time buyers looking to embrace this vibrant corner of south London. Collaborating with interior design agency, Clare Morton Interiors, the one-bedroom show home inspires buyers, showcasing how the contemporary, urban ‘look’ can be achieved.

Bridging some of London’s most exciting neighbourhoods, Higgs Yard in Loughborough Junction is a landmark development offering Shared Ownership options.

Enveloping prospective homebuyers, Apartment Two showcases a creative yet replicable vision. Nodding to the site’s industrial past, a bold colour and material palette create a unique and exciting look and feel. Cleverly layering fabrics, finishes and furniture, the space showcases how cost-effective pieces and design ideas can create sophisticated spaces whatever the budget, as Clare Morton explains:

“The dining chairs and bedroom furniture are new designs based on vintage pieces so they could search London’s many second-hand shops and vintage markets for similar furniture.”
